This was yummy with my breakfast. Thanks for posting it. I had some neighbors that really challenged me in this area. I was feeling so unsuccessful in the Lord, and was so disappointed in myself. Going on a short trip (away from them)helped me gain some perspective. I finally realized that God did not require me to LIKE them--only LOVE them. That was so freeing. He always gives us the grace and resources to do what he calls us to. I was called to be a good neighbor, and of course an ambassador to Christ and God was just not laying any more than that on me. Once I was not trying so hard to like them/be liked, once my focus was back on 'Christ in them, the hope of glory', my prayers and ministry to them was much more effective and my other responsibilities were not suffering from the drain of misdirected inner resources. God showing us the 'long view' is precious indeed.
