gripes about my life

- my macbook pro has died. the hard drive is completely dead and the optical drive is bent shut. its going to cost me about $1k+ to fix it. i have lost everything (pictures, music, documents) from the past 4 years of my life. every time i think about this i start to cry

i tried doing some data recovery already. my tech savvy buds at school tried making an image of the drive so they could use the software they have, but it pretty much looks like the drive is physically broken which is pretty bad. the company that apple recommended charged like and addition $1K! so ridiculous!

thanks for the suggestion though! what was the name of the software you used? i'll check it out just to be sure!
