so i've always thought of myself as a supposed risk taker. to me its always seemed that i've been pretty straight forward when it comes to boys and such. well there's this guy i've known over a year, we've been friends, not close, but friends. i've always had underlying feelings, not really that large. so i hung out with him for a few hours

the phrase "it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all" is complete bull shit. Ten years down the line, a broken heart will still be suffering from the scars of the past and there's nothing you can do to change it. But on the other hand, it seems like you have terribly low self confidence so maybe you're making up the possible rejection from this one guy. I for one have been hurt, and i would give anything to make it go away, but it doesn't. So with that said do what you want.
