I agree. There's got to be something about denying us our rights to elect a leader in all of this (although, I feel that the entire caucus/delegate/superdelegate process along with the electoral college already does a fantastic job of denying us our right to vote..)
But no one's going to fix the system because the people who are in power now are in power because the screwed up system put them where they are now.
There was talk about doing a mail-in ballot, which would've cost much less. Not sure why those talks are out the window - the reason I read was that no one would return the envelope, but I think that's a weak reason (that's like saying they should do away with the polls because no one will bother to show up - hell, I think the mailing system is 100% more convenient!)
