I downloaded some spunky brushes, unzipped them, and now I can't get a menu from the little arrow in the corner of the brush palette.

*cries some more* I can't upload my new brushes!!! I can't upload any brushes

Presuming you've tried the basics - rebooting your computer, that kind of thing?

Try removing all the brushes you added (just dump them in a spare folder outside the Adobe one) and add them back in a couple at at time, then testing them out - if one brush file is corrupted, it might be blocking the whole thing.
It'll take forever and it's tedious, but it could work.

I'll have a think and see if I can come up with anything else in case that doesn't work.

I tried removing them through the folders... Nothing's changed. :( I can't remove things manually because the menu won't show up for it to allow me that option. :(
