A friend of mine gave me a list of numbers of places to rent in the Bisbee/Sierra Vista area that she had found in the paper. I called one, and had a good coversation with the guy. We have a pit mix and tell weird people that it's a lab/boxer mix. Just do that until dumb people move on to the next breed of dog to hate. They will. It used to be sheperds and then rotts.

I've tried to pass our dogs off as mixes, but people have laughed at me for the attempt (like the lady at the vet when I tried to get them paper work that listed their breed as mixed). If anyone has ever seen a pit, it's hard to say that our dogs are mixed breeds. Both of them are full bred, and Memphis in particular is a rather obviouse pit. I just hate all the ignorance. I wish people could understand that dogs aren't naturally bad. Our current neighbors are the worst.. they'll call the cops if I have the dogs outside without leashes on, even though they've never left the yard. That's the main reason that we're trying to find a place to rent out in the desert where our dogs can just be dogs.

Hmm.. disguise... now that's an idea. That sign reminds me of one in SF on a guy's garage door, except that one says "Don't urinate here please. We have a baby." There is much dispute as to if they actually have a baby or not.
