LOST: Moth S1E7
This is a Charlie episode. Charlie isn't my favorite character because he's egotistical. I still like Charlie episodes and this one does a good job to make you feel sorry for Charlie as he's going through heroin withdrawal.
Locke has Charlie's heroin. He told Charlie if Charlie asks for it three times, then Locke will give it to him. Locke shows Charlie a moth struggling to get out of its ca-coon. Locke could help the moth out and just cut the ca-coon, but then the moth would be too weak to survive. The moth needs to struggle in order to be strong enough to live.
This episode is helping me out personally. I feel crappy and depressed about the whole not being able to do anything, but hopefully once I struggle through this and heal, I'll be stronger than ever.
Charlie feels like everyone is treating him like a kid on the island, and starts yelling at Jack in the cave. Rocks collapse, trapping Jack in the cave. Charlie goes and gets help. Michael worked construction for 8 years so he facilitates the removal of rocks to make sure the whole thing doesn't collapse. They eventually move enough rocks so there is a small hole, that only Charlie can get through. Charlie crawls though, helps Jack up and finds another way out of the cave. Everyone congratulates Charlie. Yay!
Charlie asks for his heroin back for the 3rd time, and Locke gives it to him. Charlie throws it in the fire. More YAY!
In Charlie's flashback, we see him struggle with the band's minor success. Charlie has trouble with the crazy partying and girls and what not. The band gets bigger, and Charlie's brother Liam, the singer in the band, gets hooked on heroin. We don't know a whole lot of what happens but we see later, Charlie goes to visit his brother in Australia. Liam has a daughter and doesn't want to get the band back together. Liam has a daughter (whose birth he missed because he was looking for a fix), and is clean now and seems to have a normal life. Charlie is still hooked on heroin and leaves.
Kate, Sayid, Sawyer, and Shannon are setting up points on the island to try to triangulate Rousseau's signal. Sayid gets it but then someone unknown knocks him out.
