Sing-off! Whoot!!

I'm finally getting a chance to listen to the new season of Sing-Off (I didn't hear last year's because I flat forgot).

Oh. My. God!!!

Okay, granted I'm an a cappella-holic.  And I don't have a lot to say right now - I'm just watching ep. 1, we're only through the first 6-7 groups of ten - I just got taken because we've gone through both Motown ( Read more... )

I'm with you on The Sing-Off - just watched episode 2 last night. There was a time that I complained all a cappella groups sounded the same - either I was out of the loop, or that ended about the time the Nylons came along. I love the variety of styles, and the variety of backing techniques being used.

One pleasant surprise has been the song selection. Epi 2 is the "hits" episode, and I continued to be surprised at how much I enjoyed the songs. I don't listen "hit" radio, so I have no frame of reference to compare, but I'm hearing a lot of songs I really enjoy.

By the end of the episode, I had a clear idea of who was the group to beat, but we are already at the point where I would hate to see any of these groups leave the competition. Great fun!

Hubby and I have been watching this when we can, and have very much enjoyed what we have seen. Missed the second ep, but like I said, we've caught it when we can, and enjoyed most of what we've seen.

The female judge is the lead singer, and founder, of The Pussycat Dolls. I do wish that they would get a woman who can actually articulate and contribute, instead of just looking pretty and saying fluff.
