There's a lot that I'd like to post, rantings and ravings that I almost need to type out so I can get it out of my mind and stop obsessing. But some of that ranting I do on the trek to/from work, and some of it I just don't even want to talk about. It won't change anything, and I'll just have a more permanent reminder that, right now, I'm whatever ( Read more... )

The curious thing is what the cat did NOT do in the bathtub...

Er, ahem. Thompson's Strawberry Farm says they're done with strawberries for the year, but raspberries should start in late August or early September. Which works out just about perfectly.

I sense the beginnings of a plan...

Do you know about Cook's Illustrated? It's just about the best and most geeky cooking magazine ever. We have only one magazine subscription and it's to this magazine. Also, think about getting a dehydrator. A friend of mine has one and loves, loves, LOVES it. The book that came with it made me want to get one intensely. Someday. When I have a kitchen. And cupboards...

I'm not interested enough in cooking to make good use of Cook's Illustrated - I had a trial subscription once. I do, however, get the America's Test kitchen emails, and I've been seriously considering getting their DIY cookbook.

and while we do have a kitchen,I completely understand the lament about cupboards :D For now I shall simply have to freeze instead of dry. Alas!
