Social Media Weirdness
What could it possibly mean when someone changes their Tumblr (or other social media) user name every single day, or nearly every day?
This guy keeps messaging me there, he is apparently from Australia and tells me he's in his late teens but has the body of a baby due to some pituitary gland abnormality. He started off sending me an "Ask" to my ( Read more... )

Yeah, that's going to be my next course of action. I used to have a friend who changed her user name/screen name maybe every few months or so... but never met anyone who did it every day.

on another forum i'm on, user/screen names can be changed every three months, and there's someone there who does just that. i do a double-take every time she changes her name. i'm like ....why?

I don't blame you, I was the same with that friend of mine. There was another girl I knew online who wanted me to co-write fanfic with her. We did a Classic Who fic that was fun to do, but then she wanted to write original fiction about a vampire family in Europe. It started off a nice exercise but it got weirder and weirder as it went on. She'd want to do a certain story and then abandoned it halfway through and want to do something totally different. The last one we attempted together was a fic starring Joaquin Phoenix ...she was obsessed with him and I was not so I told her I didn't want to do anymore... She'd say stuff like "oh I know you don't like him but I gotta ride this wave." I'm like... then you can ride it without me. She was pretty stalker-ish, too. I might've posted about her before. But sort of on topic was the fact that she'd be so excited about certain ideas and then just abandon them halfway through, or even early on... especially when I was starting to have fun with them...lol
