am starting to think will never get a full time grown up job. have sent out many applications and resumes. yes a number to the government, which cannot be accused of moving at warp speed, oh ever. but not even comcast has replied to my application other than an email saying yes we did get your application here is a reference number. that i have no ( Read more... )

you're not unhireable. you're just 22. it takes hundreds of resumes to get anything. for everyone. we're all broke. still. the no-job-no-money situation lasts for years. you just have to stop worrying about having to live with your parents forever, take a job when it comes, and try not to be too disappointed if you have to live with the rents for awhile anyway. and why are you so hung up on getting a grownup job? you only want to do it for 8 months. why not do something temporary and interesting?

how bad was the lsat, anyway?

bad like worse than the practice tests bad, which is why the focus on a real live grown-up job

I actually applied to verizon wireless over the internet in may, and they finally responded to my application about 3 weeks ago (I received a phone call that they wanted me to come in for an interview). I actually recruited myself after waiting a few weeks without hearing anything back and that's how I got hired so fast. I ended up hearing back from a few other resumes about 2 months after I originally posted them. the hiring system sucks real bad now. but don't give up!
