Housewife Zen, part 2

I have recently (which is to say about an hour ago) fell in love with the Magic Eraser for purposes of wall-cleaning. Here's why, and we shall go back to yesterday's post a little bit to continue the story.

So, OCD sucks, right? )

mental health, housework, buddhist, house cleaning, anxiety, cleaning, ocd

That sounds so awesome! I don't have OCD but I do have moderate to severe anxiety problems and that sounds like a neat way to approach it. I saw a counsellor a few years back to liked to work Buddhist principles into our work and I was so intrigued. Do you have any recs for what I could look into? Meditation is something I've always wanted to try but I have no idea how to start.

Sounds like you're making awesome progress!! I hope it keeps working
for you! <3333

Zencast. Dharma talks on the iPod for freebies. They do a series on how to meditate as well as many different aspects of Buddhism. Should be pretty easy to find on iTunes. Also read Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind.

Long story short, I decided to rewire my brain so that I can see things as they are instead of a bunch of made up stupid stuff that was making me crazy. I'll have more on this later today, I'm sure.
