technical LJ question

Sep 27, 2004 17:42

I just changed the layout of my LJ, and now when I am looking at my own Recent Entries page, I can't see the userpics unless the post was hidden behind a cut, or unless there were comments left. Does this make sense to anyone? If so, can I fix it?

Some LJ layouts do not support userpics showing on the recent entries page.

http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=171

That page will tell you what features each layout has.

the specs for this layout, according to the link above:

* Shared journal user pictures instead of poster's user picture
* @ User pictures next to each journal entry

The @ is for paid members (which I am) - so unless I'm misinterpreting what these say, shouldn't I be able to see the userpics next to each entry?

I'm so confused...

In the customization area, there should be a place to specify whether you want them displayed or not. The default may be to *not* have them showing, in which case you'd have to click the checkbox for that feature that says "over ride" and then choose something from the drop down menu. It's there, you just need to hunt for it.

Dunno, but I love the new look!

(I don't think the recent-entries pages *usually* include userpics for each entry. Friends-pages do, and the page of any individual entry does.)
