Here in America, my mother was 20 when the drinking age was changed from 18 to 21, so she was legal for 2 years and illegal for 1.

Yeah. The only argument for raising it is that "if it's at 18, people at 16 can get away with drinking."
uh... out here in this country I find it pretty silly that I've had friends go to war before they can drink, or get married xD I think both of those take a little more responsibility than a glass of wine here or there.

I totally agree with that. If they are old enough to go to war and get married and even vote politically then they should be allowed to have alcohol every now and again.
