My mom has this cookbook I want to steal. It's an ancient (and by "ancient" I mean circa 80's) Cajun cookbook, Cajun-Creole Cooking by Terry Thompson. It has some crazy Southern/Creole dishes like Jezebel Sauce, Veal Scallops with Sweetbread Sauce, Fried Crawfish Tails, Acadian Alligator, and Sauteed Frog Legs.

Things I Love About Paris
(in no particular order)

1. The way the air smells in the morning. It's yeasty and sweet, the smell of chocolat, croissants, and baguettes. There are boulangeries and patisseries on practically every corner and you can almost taste the deliciousness as you walk by.

Plasma donation did not go as planned. Unfortunately, you can't donate if you're sick and...yup. I have a cold/sinus infection/flu/I don't even know. I'm feeling a bit better today and I'm not feverish. Maybe I'll be feeling well enough to go this week.
