I'm going to be a tourist this weekend. Being a simple country girl, I haven't been to London very much, except when I worked on the trains, and had a daily 2 hours turnover in which to sample the fragrant (vagrant?) delights of King's Cross ( Read more... )

The London Eye is exceptionally cool and well worth the dosh and the queue - go at sunset if you can.

I'd also recommend the butterscotch milkshake at Ed's Diner in Soho. Indeed, Soho in general is a bit of a must do.

yeah, and the london aquarium is right next to the eye, so you can meet the cast of 'finding nemo' and stroke a manta ray before seeing london from the wheel :)

I got scared on the Birmingham eye, I was up there for ages with 2 Dutch men and a six-pack, I was nearly sick with fear. It was way too wobbly.

Not only dinosaurs, but great big whale skellingtons! And a earthquake simulator which is ace.

(last time in ThatLondon for a day, meant to spend all Dave's money and managed to spend six - count em - six hours in the Natural hist museum. great fun).

lifes generally good. presently involving alcohol so very good.
