My university said I would receive my financial aid award several weeks ago. I received no word, so I finally checked the website. My financial aid is still pending because they don't have a 2012-2013 FAFSA from me. WHAT THE BLOODY FUCKING HELL? THEY SHOULD BE LOOKING AT THE 2013-2014 FAFSA! My first class starts in September! I never filled out a 2012-2013 FAFSA because I wasn't going to school! I filled out the 2013-2014 FAFSA and sent it to them! There's no WAY to fill out a 2012-2013 FAFSA NOW. It's WAY overdue! I called their financial aid office, but all of the counselors were busy with other phone calls so I left a voice mail asking what's going on and if there's anything that can be done because I can't afford to attend college without financial aid. That's why I applied for it in the first place! Not only that, I received NO NOTIFICATION about this! I had to go poking around on the website to find this out. This could have been resolved MUCH sooner if someone had sent me an e-mail saying "Yo! We need a 2012-2013 FAFSA from you!" Then I could have told them I never filled one out and I don't know when they stop letting people fill out previous years, but at least we'd have KNOWN something was going on!
