Hi?

I'm still around. I wish I could say that I've been too busy to post, but that would be a lie. I've been playing a lot of Star Wars: The Old Republic. And writing fic for it. Read them here if you're interested. I started my next history class today, after a two-month leave of absence. My next class is next month, and then start on my thesis. My ( Read more... )

But what if I don't WANT to distract you from writing about SWTOR? :) Anything from Vector's POV--maybe something in the past, before he became Killik? Or early in his Killik life? Anything is fine!

Happy, happy birthday to you! Your stories give me much joy...

It was the music that drew him out of his studies. The music most familiar to him was soft, sweet, and lyrical. This music, however, was sprightly, cheerful, and fast-paced. It made keeping still an impossibility. So, like any teenaged boy faced with a mystery, Vector Hyllus decided to investigate. His investigation led him to the Zabrak clan that lived outside the village. The adults were rather intimidating with their tattoos and horns, but the younger ones were more approachable, at least in Vector's opinion. Some of the other children avoided the Zabraks altogether. He didn't, because he found them interesting. At the moment, most of the clan seemed to be gathered in their common area. Some played instruments, the source of the music. Others danced together to the music. The rest stood together, either watching the dancing or talking amongst themselves ( ... )

The agent--Fazzis, she'd told them her name when she'd announced that she was no longer an intelligence agent--stood in the middle of the room, her head bowed. The music came from a speaker on the bench off to one side. As they watched, she began to dance. Jerky and hesitant at first, her movements became smoother and more fluid ( ... )

Oooooh, I love the way you develop side stories with your player-characters and connections between people and it's wonderful! Studious little Vector tempted by music and dancing is a lovely image, you can really see the xenophilic tendencies that lead him to becoming the Dawn Herald...

I really wanted them to have met before, but neither remembered it at first. It took some thinking to figure out how it could have worked. Between what I knew of Vector and the backstory I have for Fazzis (that she doesn't remember), this is what I thought of. I'm glad you liked it!
