Damn... Well, I can't say anything you haven't heard and I've watched you work your ass off getting nowhere. Just know that in reading this post, I was inspired. I don't know if that's fucked up or not, maybe I'm a masochist at heart, but the idea of you never quiting regardless is... heartening...

I feel your pain.
You look at The Dream and wonder, how much is enough? How long is long enough?
Knowing what you want to do is a gift and a curse. Years ago, my brother was graduating high school and said that I was lucky since I seemed to know what I wanted to do with my life.
That was more than a decade ago. And, in my mind, I'm only a little closer than I was when I started.

And far as all the time spent in "perseverance" and "hard work", its not bullshit. That's practicing your craft, which is never time wasted.
So it has all fallen to shit? Well, do what you've done and purge the shit out. I'd say the next step is to go back to the beginning and set up again.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go work on my writing because you've made me fell guility.
