I have a like/hate relationship with this time of year. On one hand there's all the gigs, sure it's alot of work, but at least it means I'll have enough money to appease my creditors for a couple of months and maybe even chip away at the debt I aquired in my college years.

Listen you ridicously twit: your music has changed itself, changed you, and given you both refuge and power for most of your life. It has not done this by remaining the same. Sometimes a relationship needs to change to survive. If you want to keep a good relationship with your music, you have to do what's needed to make it work right.
From what you've said it sounds like this means getting into your own musical mind and cracking it a bit so you can repair it. If that's what you need, DO IT. The relief and rewards you'll get will outweigh the pain of change.
If, on the other hand, you look into your musical mind, crack it open, and decide upon viewing it that you truly can't or truly don't want to make the necessary changes, DON'T. Find another path to money, and accept the joy you get from what you have ( ... )
