Secretary of the Arts

I'm not one to send on "chain" emails so I'll just post this here. There's a petition for Obama to create a "Secretary of the Arts". There are similar positions in most other countries, we could really use one here (or my profession could really use one :) If ur interested sign the petition and pass it on if you have the mind.

Sorry, but I don't think it's the government's business to decide what is good or not in the world of art. I leave that up to the citizens of the country. We already have a National Endowment which funds plenty of unpopular crap that would never see the light of day except for some bureaucrat's need to push some social agenda.
