after watching the laramie project on hbo just now, i realized many things about the world. how it is so vile, corrupt, and sinister. how people can show hatred and ignorance with such anger and violence. how differences of any kind can churn up this deep, negative emotion toward a total stranger. how words and actions can hurt just the same. seriously. i saw the play of the laramie project while it was in town a couple of years ago, and the kids mom was there and gave a speech. it was amazing. i cried through practically the whole thing.

So... What's this about, Derrick? I might have to see it.
Well, don't lose hope for the world, amigo. Despite the "bad apples" and hardships, there will always be good. There will always be decent. There will always be love. Right?
Of course, you'll have to take all that other stuff with it, but that's what makes it worth it all. The bad things are the only reason we can truly appreciate the good in life, I think.

Oh, if it comes, I'll defintely go with you! Sounds very emotional. I enjoy things like that.
Have you ever seen this movie called.. I thnk it was "Bang Bang, You're Dead" or something like that? We watched it at school once. It was about school violence, bullying, and shootings.. It was incredible. Aside from the jackasses in my homeroom laughing at the kid's torture, it was a great experience.

i tried to persuade my theatre teacher to do that one but he didn't listen to me. i love it. i mean, it's horrible, but has an awesome point.
