so Cornell University was kind enough to post online explaining why neem oil does what it does.  the chemical in the oil that does the trick is called Azadirachtin, and it mimics a class of insect hormones called ecdysones, which are responsible for the molting that occurs between life-stages.  by fucking with (scientific term) the hormone balance ( Read more... )
