Are we to assume an invitation to the rehearsal dinner for Jim plus Cheryl means its adults only

Rehearsal dinner is usually fancy. I would expect it to be adults only. But I don't know.

Groom says Maddy can come. RSVP form wouldn't let me add her, but Bride agreed....

Of course my MIL is annoyed that we didn't ASSUME maddy could come

I would never assume that, but I think they should make it clear on the invite.

The punchbowl site won't even let me RSVP for an additional person. There's a real "don't bring Maddy" indicator, you know?
