Another Day
A very average day for me, actually an average couple of days. Thanksgiving has come and gone, leaving me unaffected entirely.
Wednesday - got home around 7am, and finally got some sleep, subsequently woke up at 4:30 in the afternoon to find that my mom apparently had wanted me over at the house at noon so we could get ready to go to Orlando. Whatever, so I kind of threw off that plan unknowingly. Got there, we went to Orlando, went to dinner at Fudruckers. Yum. Went back to the hotel and got online a bit then went to sleep. Pretty average day I'd say.
Thursday (Thanksgiving) - woke up at 8, went to Islands of Adventure, hooked up with Kalen and her Dad and her brother who happened to be there. Didn't really do anything that particularly memorable. Rode some rides, relaxed, forgot about it all 10 minutes after I got in the car for the drive home. Definitely not one of those amazing times at theme parks, I think the fact that it involved a lot of walking around since half of the rides were broke made it less memorable. It seemed like the day really flew by for some reason. Not sure why. Oh well.
Friday - woke up later than I had planned as I forgot to turn on my alarm after setting it. Oops. Missed all the sales. Oops. Missed all the million people in line. Darn. Got a call from Nessa who happened to be in town and hooked up with her to see if we could run into Lauryl at work. No such luck. Talked a lot about life in general while hanging out in the manga section at books-a-million, it was good to catch up with her since I haven't seen her in a while. We got some lottery tickets so we can get rich since neither one of us had ever bought one. I took her home, then went to my parents' house to have Thanksgiving dinner a day late. I ate food, then sat on the couch like a bum and watched a movie. Now I'm here.
So yeah, pretty much a real boring holiday, nothing too bad, nothing too good. I guess I can be thankful that I didn't have a crappy Thanksgiving or something, which would be worse than my average and unmemorable one. I just feel like I lost a few days of my life that weren't worth much of anything, minus a few hours at Islands of Adventure that I got to talk to Kalen. Hopefully when Kalen gets back in town from Orlando we can hook up with Nessa before she has to head back to UF. Perhaps we can grab a few more people too and start something up that resembles a party of sorts. This weekend may prove to be interesting and worth my time afterall.
