Title: You are My Something to Hold Onto
Pairng: Bi-Rain/Lee Hyori
Rating: PG
Summary: In this business, everyone needs someone to depend on.
Caramel strands wrapped around his forearms as he pulled her down for a kiss, all slow, sliding lips and lazy, seeking tongues. Her taste was familiar but different, flavored with experience, textured with maturity. He moaned softly and she laughed quietly into his mouth. His eyes opened to see hers watching him with gentle amusement.
“You can still kiss like you have all the time in the world.”
“You still taste like ripe raspberries and fresh cream.”
She laughed, not as quietly as before. “You’ve been writing too many love songs.”
He let a silken strand slide between his fingertips as she pulled away from him, let those fingertips slide over her hip as she stood. “I’ve missed you.”
She grinned. “Of course you have.” Patting the hand on her hip, she said, “How could you not miss me when you were surrounded by all those exotic western women?”
“It isn’t the same.” He leaned his head back against the chair. “All fire and passion without any comfort or familiarity.” He closed his eyes, looking, briefly, a decade older than his twenty-eight years.
“You’re getting tired.” She linked her fingers with his. Squeezed.
He opened his eyes. Squeezed back. “Seeing you helps.”
“What about your kids? They seem energetic. Should keep you young.”
A grin scrunched up his face. “They do but sometimes they also make me feel old. All that energy and naiveté. A few years into this business and they’ll start to feel the strain too.” The grin vanished on a sigh. “I just hope they continue to have each other to lean on. To run back to when things get rough.”
“Like you and I.”
“Just like that.” Bi smiled into Hyori’s eyes. “Well, maybe without the kissing.”
