Title: I can Feel my Heart Sing
Pairing: Rain/Joon
Rating: G
A/N: I have no idea how they met but the song “Rain” by Madonna started playing on my Mp3 player and ::wham:: plot bunny kicked me in the head. Freakin bunnies.
Rain paused in the hallway outside a practice room to listen to a sexy voice beautifully butcher the words to an English song. A combination of the voice and the belting out of lyrics like “Rain. Feel it on my fingertips, hear on the window pane. Your love's coming down like rain” pulled him towards the partially open door. He didn't recognize the young man dressed in Sponge Bob pajama pants and a sweat-soaked white wife-beater.
As his voice rose and fell, caressing the often awkward on his tongue English words, the stranger began to move. Unfurl, thought Rain. He held his breath in awe as the leanly-built young man began to turn, twist, and stretch, bending and breathing the rhythm of the music. One astonishing leg lift followed by a leap and a pirouette, and Rain exhaled. Air rushed painfully into his neglected lungs but he considered it a small price to pay for such an unexpected treat.
With a little styling of hair and clothes, the young man could be a star, Rain mused and wondered why he didn't know of this talent hidden in the record company he was so invested in. I want to train him, teach him, rise his star to the heights, he thought.
Slipping silently into the room, he watched until the last beat fell to silence. “I want to train you. Have you be part of the group I'm planning on producing.”
The panting stranger opened his eyes and looked directly into Rain's. Close now, Rain could see the golden hue in those slanted eyes, the shock brightening them until they nearly glowed.
“Bi-hyung.” The velvet voice was breathless as the man bowed hurriedly.
“You have me at a disadvantage since I don't even know your name.”
“Lee Changsun.” He bowed again with the same frantic energy.
Amused by the awkwardness oozing from Changsun, Rain suppressed a grin. There'd been nothing awkward in him while singing and dancing. “You are what I am looking for. I want you to be one of the members in the group I will be producing. Interested?”
Changsun's jaw dropped. “You serious, hyung?”
“Completely.”
Finely-shaped lips spread wide in a smile, revealing pearly teeth and elvish charm. “I am totally interested. How could I not be? Oh my god. You are one of my heroes. This is crazy.” He bowed quickly, three times and recited “thank you, thank you” like a mantra.
Rain extended a hand and Changsun grasped it while continuing to bow and babble. When skin met skin, Rain twitched and looked at the hand engulfed in his.
You are what I am looking for, for myself, he thought and tightened his grip.
