fcollision fic challenge He trailed a finger down Joon's abs. He loved staring at his sleeping face, so angular yet soft. Brushing a hand across the soft half-inch of newly grown hair, Rain sighed. As of this afternoon, they'd be so far apart. Not just in actual geography but in available time. Germany was only a plane ride from Korea but schedules for both were jammed up with obligations of one kind or another.
He wondered if - no, no, when, think positive - he'd get to watch Joon like this. He knew he'd miss the soft warmth of other man's body and breath. The look of his bare skin and softened features. He'd miss this - the way Joon woke slowly, blinking caramel eyes all melted and sweet just for Rain.
"Why so serious?" The imitation had no real force behind it. The English was heavily accented. The voice husky with sleep.
Rain wanted to cup the moment in the palm of his hand, hold it forever. "You leave this afternoon."
"We'll see each other again. After all, you're the boss." He grinned but it wavered sadly around the edges.
"It won't be easy." Seeing each other. Not being able to touch each other freely. Rarely having mornings like this where the rain patters on the windows, the light is hazy and gentle, and we're warm from sleep and each other.
Joon heard all the things not said. "It'll work out somehow." He reached up to caress Rain's cheek. "It may not be the way we want it, though."
"I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too." Joon sat up and pressed a desperate kiss to Rain's lips. "More than you know."
Later that afternoon, freshly showered and fed, Rain padded barefoot around the too-empty and too-quiet apartment. He jiggled his cell phone, thought for a minute before typing out a text.
