He heard Jaejoong's husky laugh and glanced over to see the blonde's hand touching Yunho's arm, thigh, chest. He buried himself further into his video game and imagined all the monsters his character hacked to death with a sword possessed Jae's hauntingly beautiful features. A smirk quirked his lips as he triumphed over the numerous monsters.
If only it were as easy to triumph over Jaejoong.
"You seem happy, Changminnie." Yunho's breath slipped across his ear causing him to suppress a shudder.
"I'm enjoying my game, hyung." And ignoring you and Jaejoong flirting for the billionth time. Changmin slid a look at Yunho's perfectly carved features. Don't you know he's fucking Yoochun, hyung? Don't you know he's not seriously into you?
Oblivious to the mental questions Yunho watched Changmin's character go up in flames. "You lost, Minnie."
"Yea. I knew that before I even started."
"What?"
Realizing he'd said the last part out loud, Changmin offered a half grin. "It's my first time playing this game so I figured losing was inevitable."
With a bracing slap on Changmin's back, Yunho stood. "You'll win eventually. That is inevitable for you."
"Do you think so?"
"I do." Jae's voice called his name and Yunho offered an encouraging smile before running off.
"At his beck and call, leader-shii, and he doesn't even appreciate it." Tossing the game on the table, he pushed back and headed for the buffet lunch.
Two nights later he woke in the middle of the night to low, angry voices in the kitchen. He'd fallen asleep on the couch watching anime. Again. A bad habit Yunho worried over or so he claimed. How could Changmin tell him the reason he couldn't bear to sleep in his room, in his bed was because the older man slept not three feet away? Countless nights of sleep lost just staring at those perfect features gilded in moonlight or the streetlights shining through the windows.
Yea. He could just imagine that conversation would go swimmingly considering how gone on Jaejoong Yunho was.
The voices in the kitchen rose from furious to whispers to not-quite normal volume. He recognized the arguers now. Yunho and Jaejoong. Wanting to leave but wanting to stay, he sat up but made no effort to get up and vacate the room. He knew the cautionary tale of how eavesdroppers never heard anything good about themselves but caution was highly overrated.
Plus, fans and anti-fans tended to thicken one's skin with their hateful comments and backhanded compliments.
"You've got to stop this. It's an unhealthy affection." Jaejoong sounded worried and pissed. It was a special talent of his in Changmin's mind. Right up there with his cooking.
"Have I made a move? Have I done a damn thing wrong? No. I'm allowed to feel what I feel, Jae."
A put-upon sigh. "Yunnie."
"Damnit, Jae. I know. I try, okay? Every single day. I keep my hands to myself-"
"Mostly. For you."
"-fine. Mostly. I'm a touchy person. I do my best to keep the physical affection down to a minimum. It's killing me. And I never say how I actually feel."
Holy hell, Min thought, I'm listening to them tap dance around Yunho's confessing his feelings for Jae. The sharp, slick pain in his heart made him gasp and the voices in the kitchen got quiet. Footsteps padded into the living room. His two hyungs looked at him with wide eyes and open mouths.
"Minnie-" Yunho started but Jaejoong cut him off.
"We didn't know you were out here."
He shrugged. "I fell asleep watching anime." He knew his tone was belligerent but didn't care.
"You need to sleep in your bed. It can't be healthy falling asleep with the tv on every single night." Yunho's face scrunched up in concern. "And you are too tall for the couch. Must cause a crick in your neck."
"So?"
"You'll need a massage to get the knots out."
Low on sleep and tolerance, feeling combative from the pain in his heart, Changmin lifted an eyebrow. "You offering?"
Jaejoong slid a look at Yunho, one Changmin couldn't decipher. For his part, Yunho bit his lower lip and blushed. Silence strung out in the television-lit living room.
"Forget it. I guess I'll try to sleep in my bed tonight." Standing Changmin resisted the urge to leap over the couch, strangle Jaejoong and take over biting Yunho's lower lip. Instead he stomped to his bed and curled up in a miserable ball under the comforter.
He heard Yunho enter and pause before moving to his own bed. Springs squeaked as Yunho lay down. Listening hungrily to the older man's breathing even out into sleep, Changmin tortured himself by playing the overheard conversation again and again in his head. Morning seemed decades away.
A week went by. Changmin barely spoke to Yunho or Jaejoong. His snarky comments to and about Junsu turned mean. Yoochun tried to subtly find out what was turning their maknae into a ticking time bomb but Changmin simply told him to mind his own business and, by the way, he lacked subtlety. In the way of all good maknaes, Changmin knew how to torture and manipulate his hyungs. He knew it and they knew it but they didn't understand the new recklessly angry maknae.
Dance rehearsal wrapped up on a negative note. Changmin's moves lacked any appearance of effort. If anything, he seemed to take a perverse pleasure in using his long arms and legs to trip up or smack the other members. The choreographer told him to get his act together, thanked the other four politely for their time, and stormed out the studio. Wiping his face with a towel, pointedly ignoring the others, Changmin wished he could get the pain to go away. The more he tried to get rid of it, the more it spread.
The more it spread, the angrier he grew. He wanted to snap Jaejoong's head off. Literally. He wanted to...well, he wanted to do many naughty things to Yunho but he couldn't dwell on those until he had some privacy.
"Hey, Minnie."
So lost in his thoughts, he jumped at the sound of his name. He glance around the studio and realized it was just him and Yunho. The others must have decided Yunho had to take care of this since he was the leader. Changmin grunted at him and bent down to pick up a water bottle.
"Min. Talk to me. You've been sabotaging our rehearsals, snapping at some of use while ignoring the rest of us. Something's going on and we need to know what."
"Why the fuck do you need to know? Can't I have problems without having to share everything with you and the others?"
"Absolutely. Unless and until it affects the rest of us to the point of hurting our careers." He placed a hand on Changmin's shoulder but let it fall when it was shrugged off. "If you want out, we need to know."
"Out?" Changmin knew his eyes opened wide. "I don't want out. How could you even think that?" When Yunho opened his mouth to speak, Changmin waved a hand. "Forget I asked. I can see how you would start to think that but no, I don't want out. It's not that at all." How could I even dream of living apart from you, Yunho?
"Then talk to me. Whatever it is doesn't have to leave this room if it's something you aren't comfortable sharing with the others."
"What makes you think I'd be comfortable sharing it with you?" He saw the flash of hurt on Yunho's face and wished he could revel in causing pain. Instead it made him hurt a little more inside.
Yunho cleared his throat. "The others seemed to think you would be so I took a chance. Plus, I am the leader so it is my responsibility." Taking a deep breath, he said, "And I love you, Minnie, so I really care when something is hurting you."
He sighed. "I know, Yunho. I'm sorry for how I've been."
"Tell me what's wrong."
Changmin looked into dark, concerned eyes. "I can't. I just can't. It would make things...weird."
Yunho folded his arms over his chest. "Weird. You've been like this since you overheard Jae and I arguing that night."
Changmin slid his gaze down and to the side. It was true.
"What did you hear that night that pissed you off so much?"
One of the reasons Yunho was the leader was his pitbull-like tendency to latch on to a problem and not let go until he was satisfied it was solved or, at least, shaken into submission. "I heard you and Jae arguing about your feelings for him."
There was a pause which had Changmin looking back up at Yunho. "My feelings...for Jaejoong? You thought we were talking about him and me? Seriously?"
Shuffling his feet a little, he nodded. This wasn't a topic he wanted to discuss with Yunho.
"Christ. Jaejoong is involved Yoochun. And sometimes Junsu. Possibly both of them at the same time sometimes. I'm a masochist but I don't share."
"You knew?"
"Yea. I am the all-knowing U-know Yunho." He smiled to show he didn't really believe the hype.
"Then who were you talking about?" The pain in his torso eased just knowing Yunho wasn't carrying a torch for Jaejoong. "I mean, it seemed obvious it would be Jae since you are always so touchy-feely with him."
Yunho laughed. "I'm touchy-feely with everybody I care about. And Jae is a big ball of flirtation. You know that. He flirts with you, me, BoA, the back-up dancers...it's just his way. He's currently caught up in a romance with Yoochun and Junsu." Grasping Changmin's hands, he asked, "Does it help to know it wasn't about Jaejoong?"
"Yes." Though it still hurt, Changmin acknowledged to himself.
"Why does it matter, anyway?"
Searching for a reason that wouldn't give away his actual feelings, he said, "I knew about Jae and Yoochun and Junsu. I thought you were setting yourself up for heartbreak."
"So you don't think I could handle a threesome?"
Changmin smiled. "Handle it, yea. Have a relationship in one, no. You said it yourself, you don't like to share."
"Ah. True." Something like disappointment slid over Yunho's face as he let Changmin's hands go.
"Who were you talking about, hyung?" Curiousity, partly fueled by pain, forced the words out of Changmin's mouth.
"Uh." Yunho took a step back. "It's...see...well...hmmm."
Seeing the leader so flustered by his question caused a quiver in his belly. There'd been no hesitation in telling him Jaejoong wasn't the topic of conversation so why wouldn't Yunho tell him who it was? Unless...no. Changmin shook his head but the idea wouldn't dislodge.
"Why won't you tell me? Unless you were talking about me." It was a stab in the dark but he must of hit bulls-eye because Yunho turned red. "It was me." Wonder spread up from his toes and fingers and speared straight into the center of the pain in his chest.
Instead of answering, Yunho turned to leave but Changmin caught his wrist. "Oh no, hyung. You were arguing with Jaejoong about your feelings for me. He didn't want you tell me, did he?"
Yunho's shoulders slumped. "You always have been far too intelligent for our comfort. Yes, we were arguing about you and he didn't want me to tell you. I didn't want to tell you. We were arguing because he thinks I should date other people in order to forget about you. He says I shouldn't feel this way for you because you are younger than me and inexperienced. I agree but I was telling him facts don't change feelings."
Spinning the older man around, Changmin pulled him into a hug. "I may be young and a bit inexperienced but I'm smart and a fast learner. Tell me how you feel, Yunho-ah. Please."
"I'm completely in lust with you and maybe a little in love too." The words were smothered by Changmin's neck.
"Thank god. I feel the same way." Lacing fingers into Yunho's hair, Changmin pulled his head back and kissed him.
There was a gasp and a moan. Neither man knew who made the noises or if it was both of them in unison. Changmin held Yunho's hair tightly, tugging just a little to draw low moans from the older man. Being inexperienced didn't mean he knew nothing of technique, and he'd kissed before but the mouth hadn't been the one of his fantasies. Now he nibbled on Yunho's full lower lip before sliding his tongue between his teeth. Yunho's hands gripped his shoulder blades before moving down to grip his hips, then his ass.
"Oh my god. I'm going to hell for this." Yunho arched into Changmin as his mouth slid down the lean line of his throat.
"I'll be right there beside you, hyung." He breathed it in Yunho's ear and delighted in the shiver it caused.
"Jae's going to kill me." It was a moan as Changmin slipped his free hand under Yunho's shirt and pinched his nipple.
"Don't bring him up when I'm seducing you." He bit hard on Yunho's collarbone in reprimand.
"Mmmm. What will you do if I do?"
Instead of answering, Changmin left a line of bites throbbing across Yunho's clavicle while pulling his head back further. There were whimpers and little jumps of pain but Yunho pressed Changmin closer with each bite and tug. Testing the leader's masochistic claim, he tugged his nipple again before twisting it. The whimper of pain was louder but still he moved into Changmin's touch instead of away.
"You really are a masochist."
"Yes." It was an explosion of breath as Changmin released his hair.
With a sharp smile, Changmin slid to his knees and dragged Yunho's sweatpants and underwear to the floor. The erection freed from the confines of clothing made his smile widen. Yunho inhaled sharply.
"What are you doing?"
"Seriously. What does it look like I'm doing?"
"But-" Yunho choked on his words when Changmin slid his lips along the length of his cock.
"No more talking, Yunho-ah." Making the command absolute, he took Yunho's speaking ability as he swallowed as much of his cock as possible.
Yunho gripped his hair to keep from falling over. Changmin worked his mouth up and down while swirling his tongue around the head of Yunho's cock. Every so often, he'd relax his throat and let Yunho feel paradise before drawing away. It was torment. Delicious, painful torment especially when Changmin began to fondle his scrotum. Yunho felt his eyes roll back in his head as tension coiled through his muscles. He began to shake, ready to explode, ready to come but Changmin drew back and slid Yunho's underwear and sweats back into place.
He smiled as Yunho winced at the constriction around his cock. The hungry look in Changmin's eyes, that wolf smile at the sight of Yunho in pain made Yunho shudder and moan. "You're gonna leave me like this, Minnie-ah?"
"It hurts, yes?"
"You know it does." Yunho trembled as his body tried to decide how to handle the sudden deprivation of pleasure.
Changmin slid a hand around the back of Yunho's neck and pulled him close. "I promise to make you feel really good. Later. After supper. But right now I'm hungry and you need to eat."
"You're cruel, Minnie. Cruel." But the way he moaned it took the insult out of the comment.
"You love that about me." He patted Yunho's ass.
"True."
