"Late again."
Rain looked up from unlacing his shoes. She stood hip-cocked against the entryway door frame. Her hair pulled up in a messy bun on the top of her head, horn-rim glasses sliding down her straight nose. He liked the way concern lit her golden eyes and how the soft pajama pants molded her hips and thighs.
"Yea. The boys were off form today. Practice was hellish."
"Mmmm. How's Changsun?"
Rain slipped his feet into a pair of house slippers and grimaced. "Still pissed."
"He's in love with you."
"I know."
She sighed and moved forward to wrap her arms around his lean waist. "He's bound to get past it."
"Do you think really think so?"
Tipping her face up to his, she smiled. "Of course. With his 4-D personality, he's likely to fall in love with somebody else any day now. And things can get back to normal."
Rain leaned down to accept her kiss before she released him and wandered into the kitchen to reheat their supper. He stared after her but didn't see her retreating figure. Instead he saw broader shoulders and leaner hips. He knew Joon wasn't flighty despite his 4-D personality. He loved and loved hard.
Rain wished he could shake his own ingrained morals and return the love. He couldn't change almost thirty years of being, after all. Could he?
