well, i ran 9:29 for the two mile.

that makes me feel a little better.

i came through the mile in 4:43, and seven laps in 8:25, knowing i was gonna have to scoot to get under 9:30. so i focused everything i've felt in the past month on that last lap, closing in 64 seconds.

and the inexplicable thing was, it didn't hurt much at all.
