i don't think enough people realize that although it is a byproduct of salvation, being a good person in and of itself has nothing to do with getting into heaven.
because we are not condemned to hell for sinning. but we are for refusing to believe someone died for our sins.
--interesting isnt it? its why the movement that was started by Martin Luther of 'by grace through faith' was so huge. because it was not longer viewed as a works thing. :)
I don't consider myself holy, so I can call you a dumbass. It does go against my normal thinking in life, I do good because I think it's right. By the way, you can quote the bible all you want, it's not always dead true. In most cases, like anything having to do with Jesus, it was written down many generations after his stuff happened. So quote the bible. I guess wat I'm getting at is I find you quite hipocritical, and I really don't like you. Go ahead and respond to this, I'm not going to read it again.
very well then. oh, i am quite the hypocrite. you are most assuredly correct, and i won't disagree with you at all there. all christians are hypocrites, in some way or another...we preach against all sin, and yet we commit one or another. that is hypocrisy in a nutshell. i'm sorry to hear that you don't believe the Bible...but to those of us who do, it is the unarguable inspired Word of the Lord, and holds no question marks regarding such a matter as this. perhaps one day, you will hear this from someone you like, and it will open your heart and your mind. May the Lord bless you.
