That's the version I have. I had to read the Bible once a long time ago for Sunday School, and after only column-length of verses I gave up.

.........um..... the KJV was the only thing available to the people at that time. the latin vulgate wasn't something that the people spoke at that time.
even when the manuscripts were being written it was done in the common language for the greeks and hebrews of that time.
This was a problem back some time ago and hence why they went from the KJV - to the NKJV - to the NIV.

........and how we have the message remix.
