Congrats on the Associate's! Hope your transfer goes through... though I'm sure it will. No better way to celebrate graduation than with alcohol. ;) I was pretty plowed after I graduated.
Whoa... those ripples are so impressive... your camera skills are amazing.
Oddly, I'm wearing my Corona shirt right now. It's a sign that I need beer, obviously...
Thanks, it should work out. Last time I checked, my GPA was well above the minimum required for admittance. Hill's Absinth is my favorite... at 80 or so bucks a bottle, one would expect it to be good.
I think the reflections from the blue sky above is partially responsible for the detail of the ripples. My time may be up for photographing crabs, so maybe I'll shift my attention to the ocean itself. I'd hate to say it but I'm seeing less and less of the dungeness crabs as the years go by-- I'm hoping this is due to migratory changes or something else, rather than overfishing.
I'm still a little sore from putting up the "gazebo", for lack of a better word. It's more like a large, wide-open tent. There are two coronas left from the twelve pack :P. I have corona boxers!
Ah Absinth, nothing but bad memories for this man.
I'm thinking you should lend me that book sometime soon, I don't remember the name now... but I think it was related to philosophy. If you're interested I could post a entry or e-mail you with all the books in my possession at the moment, and if you see anything that sparks your interest we could make a temporary trade, i'm a pretty fast reader if I have an interest in the subject.
ah brendan congrats! you would love it here-- we have a lovely absinthe bar, well, not we, it's in the city but it's plenty of fun. We can also buy wormwood in the smart shops-- my friend did this one and tried to make his own (a man after your own heart, to be sure). Unfortunately it didn't turn out. He used grappa. It was just really pungent, disgusting, foul, terrible +++ grappa.
lovely photograph! hopefully I'll see you around this summer!
thanks. i'd certainly like to go there some time, if not for the drug culture and the widespread use of bikes for transportation.
absinth can turn out horrible if it's homemade, unless the person knows what they're doing. now you know, and now he knows!
let me know when and if you're coming back. i asked about you when i applied for a kitchen position at O.P., and George didn't seem totally sure if you would be back.
I'm going to miss taking my bike literally everywhere-- highways, past tulip fields, whichever beach I want to go, cutting cars off. Mainly I'm just going to be upset living in a place where car-people don't know how to share roads with bike-people with out stressing the fuck out.
I'll be back on June 5th. Jobs are stressing me out. I called George but he's hired everyone already. Hopefully he'll realize he has a tendency to hire flakey girls within, oh, the time I get back or so and take me back. I am getting my dad to start faxing my resume around town now. Work is hella trife.
I can't wait for you to meet my boyfriend actually, I have a feeling you guys will get along wonderfully. When he comes I'll make sure we meet for some night swimming or something. :)
