long story short, bette gets up at the crack of dawn and goes to a dilapidated industrial area to dismantle a metal sign (which her girlfriend once said was the most beautiful sign she had ever seen), packs everything up and ships it to NY, and brings it to the forest refuge in a tractor where her steel sculptor artist girlfriend is making an outdoor art piece.

of course jodi, the steel sculptor girlfriend was unaware of bette's intended actions and it's just very sweet la!
