Yuletide letter
I would prefer not to get smut or anything involving adultery/cheating, but other than that, I'm very easy to please, I promise! :D I love fluff, I love angst, I love horror, I love gen, I love romance, I love adventures, I love character studies, you get the idea. Very generally speaking, I prefer het to femslash to slash, but I do like all three of them. I know ATM trying to backread my LJ will just give you a ton of Nanowrimo, but if it helps, here's my fic on AO3 and FFN.
Vinland Saga, if you're not aware, is basically a manga about Vikings! As far as I know, it's not officially available in English, but you can read scanlations of it here, among other places. If you haven't read it, warnings for graphic violence and non-graphic rape. For this, I'm most interested in something about Thorfinn and Einar. Some possibilities might be: their lives as slaves, escaping from slavery (or hell, even rebellion), Thorfinn being pressed back into service to Canute (and taking Einar along), Thorfinn and Einar visiting one of their home towns, basically anything where they interact. I ship them together, but I would also love gen friendshippy fic, and I'm also fine with either/both of them having het relationships.
Last Friends is a Japanese drama which, AFAIK, is also not officially available in the US, though you can watch it online here. Important note if this wasn't what I matched you on: this series contains virtually every common trigger: rape, domestic abuse, incest, child abuse (both physical and sexual), self-harm, homophobia, transphobia, suicide... and this is probably an incomplete list. For this fandom, I really want happy post-series fic about Rumi and her mommy and her two daddies. Or if you don't want to do kidfic, maybe a counseling session with one of the three, or something about their relationship in the future would be great. It's okay if it's painful, but overall I'd like it to be hopeful. I don't have any preferences on the romantic part; any romantic combination of Michiru/Ruka/Takeru is fine, or they all can just continue to be good friends.
Shadoweyes is a comic; you can read most of the first volume here (along with comments from the artist), and it's also available in two print volumes (and hopefully more to come). I think the only warning for this would be violence, though there might be threatened rape somewhere. For this, I'd love seeing something about Scout or Sparkle individually, or both of them together. For Scout, something about the ever-snowballing trainwreck that is her relationship with Kyisha, or how she feels about the changes in her own body would be great, or maybe just a typical day in her life. For Sparkle, maybe something about her cheerfulness and how much it's consciously chosen, or maybe she has an adventure on her own, or again, a regular day in her life. And for the two of them together, maybe something where they fight crime or (and?) make out.
The Years of Rice and Salt is a book that can be purchased from Amazon or similar places. It's been a while since I read this, so I probably can't warn correctly: there's slavery and wars, that sort of thing. I'll just paste my request from last year: I would prefer a fic that doesn't focus on white people, but other than that, anything in any era is fine. I picked B as a character, but they don't have to have a main role; as long as they pass through at some point, I'll be happy. (Though if you want to make them the main character, that's fine too!) I think my favorite arc was Nsara (the second one), if that helps, but really anything at all for this fandom would be awesome.
