So, yeah...we've been chillin with these marriage licenses for like 5 months. Finally, decided to do the deed on our 15 year anniversary so we could keep our date and not have to remember a new one. Went to the courthouse in DC. The "marriage room" is lovely...fake flower arch, early 70's DMV furniture...you get the idea. :-) We will follow up with a more thought out ceremony/kickass party at a later date....or I am voting for destination wedding.
Anyway, had an "engagement party" on Saturday with all our friends and spilled the beans (HAhaaaa...fooled ya, we're already married). It was fun, everyone was happy and copious amounts of hooch was consumed.
On a side note, your latest tale has sucked me in! Awesome writing. And I love the Russian stuff...the bits that you've added make perfect sense to me and that's all that really matters. Kidding. Russian was my first language (I grew up in a bilingual household in NYC) so I'm getting waves of nostalgia. Can't wait to read more.
