I go back to school in THREE weeks. After years of plugging away at nowhere jobs, my life is gonna be on track. I've never actually looked forward to going to school, which I guess had a lot to do with me being parent-supported way back when and having the luxury of taking school for granted

Yay! I'm glad you're going to school with a new appreciation for it to boot. Coming from a very poor background and having no financial assistance from my parents I've always envied people who's family can afford to send them to school and it really peeves me to see people complain or waste that opportunity. (Especially for an arts degree) I have a feeling you will make the best of it though. :D

It boggles my mind to think about what portion of college kids, especially at the "top" universities, don't really want to be there while there are people committing themselves to many years of no free time and a possible lifetime of debt to go to your average-cost higher learning institution. Luckily, my program is vocational, so Animal House boys and Sex In the City NY college girls won't really be a factor.
