Good to hear from you! Yeah, there are a ton of things that even after a year+ of sobriety just feel weird and wrong while sober still... Going to bars (understandable), dancing (which is too bad) and sex (cuz I'm that dysfunctional).
I check out your fancy pics on myspace every so often, but only recently got myself a facebook. Its under pfinlon@ hotmail.com. How can I find your account?

ahh, i had my lj set to not tell me when i get a reply.
what about alcohol free beer? if i ever had to cut out alcohol, i wonder if the placebo effect would be enough.
good to have you as a friend on facebook, its crazy how useful that is to keep in touch with people in america (and around the world). myspace is too chaotic for me, facebook is much cleaner and direct.

Yeah, when I force myself to go to bars, I usually get seltzer and lime, but its still problematic because 1) Bars still sometimes charge me the same as if I was drinking! I know carbonated water and a wedge of lime ain't worth $4. Jerks..and 2) As people around you get drunker, you're faced with just how annoying drunk people can be and how sober you are. The first hour or two ain't bad, but after about 1 am, its all downhill...
I don't know why I was resisting facebook for so long. Its definitely more useful.
