Suggestions

For when I finally go to move across contient and go on the moving truck I'm debating an GBA or GB DS for the trip. I'm looking for suggestions for games with long play times and that are pretty enjoyable as it's going to be a several day trip each way.

I would of course recommend a good Pokemon game, or MMEXE6 if it's released by the time you start moving. Other RPGs are always a good bet, like the original Golden Sun, or you could get something like Kirby, which is big and mazelike.

YA YOU SHOUL D GET A POKEMON GAME CUZ POKEMONS IS TOTALLY TEH AWESOME

No, I don't know. I'm being unhelpful. I got so bored with all my portable games. I want something like the old Game Boy ultility for the SNES so I can play them on the big screen instead of being all hunched-over that tiny ass screen because it's just not as rewarding.

I used to want a DS but now I can't even remember why. Mario Kart maybe. I think the true value of the DS is that they relreased old/good games for it. Pick up Breath of Fire for the GBA or something.

Yeah, that's the thingie I need. Now if I could just find my copy of CoM I'd be set, but it got lost somehow.

CoM isn't that great, Aria of Sorrow is much better, although CoM is hellishly challenging at the upper modes, Magician (laughable HP, start with all spell cards, be creative or die) and Thief (low HP, low MP, hellooooo drop rate and hearts galore, subitems time) especially.

Knight is pretty badass too, no MP, but you hit like a truck. Makes random dudes cake, but bosses are a bitch.

Yeah, just get a DS. That way you can play both DS and GBA games and you don't limit yourself on what you can play.

For a DS? I'd recommend snagging Dawn of Sorrow, because that's just a fun Castlevania game. :D Or maybe something mindless with tons of replay value like Mario Kart DS or something? Then Tales of Phantasia was also released for GBA recently.

What about Phantasy Star Collection, since it has three games? Or maybe Fire Emblem?

Does the Phantasy Star Collection have 4 in it also Tales is a good idea too. Butwhich Fire Emblem?

The first one (plain old Fire Emblem). Sacred Stones is neat, but the first one was better.

Yeah- what Gabe said. The first one is awesome. And... I don't believe it does. I'd check, but I don't have my DS on me. I think it's just 1-3, though.

And sugest some books you can DL to a laptop:

http://www.baen.com/library/

A large number of novels available online, free. I sugest the 1632 books, and the Honor Harrington series.

That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea, though contingent on him having a laptop. (Some people like me do not. Please buy me one.)

Which is why the Baen books are a good idea; all you need is a laptop that can run a HTML browser, and you're set. No power expensive 3D acceleration, just hitting PgDown occasionaly.
If you want more of a particular series, ask me, and I'll email it to you.
