I'm trying to blend cyberpunk with post colonial literature, because unfortunately there is very little science fiction set outside Western contexts, with the exception of Japan. And I'm fascinated by the developing world.

Yeah, dialogue is definitely my weak point. I've been trying to add a political element to the story without it being an author tract, or the dialogue becoming overburdened. Cyberpunk tends to be notoriously apolitical since no one seems to care that they live in a postmodern dystopia, or want to put any effort into trying to turn things around.
