A.) That really blows. I don't have kids myself (you know this), but I totally understand where you are coming from. My mom thinks that because she raised me and works at Childrens Hosp. she is an expert in raising kids. Uhhh, I work with them all day/all ages, and she's always trying to tell me how to handle the little kids that I watch.
B.) You will be here 7 weeks from TODAY.Or Yesterday. It depends on when you read this.
I don't mind the pointers, i really don't, it's the constant undermining of things I worked hard to establish. She never use to be a crying whiner. but she's smart, she's figured out that one of us *cough*grandpa*Cough* will cave if she cries. so now she does it constantly, in an attempt to get us to cave. today i sent her inside because she did something dangerous, she goes in and immediately my dad is there "oh whats wrong" I tried to tell him to leave her alone that she's in trouble, but he snaps at me going "i'm just standing here" Uhhhh she's fake crying now, because she wants your sympathy. if you weren't here atm she'd have stopped already.
My mother in law has made attempts to undermine me the few times she's visited but thankfully she's deaf and I don't know sign language so it's not easy for her to do and it will be hard for George to pick up on it but it was damn hell ass annoying. (especially considering she ABANDONED her own son when he was 14 and he had to live with his AWESOME sister who raised him to be a great guy considering she was still a teen herself... ahem.... But whatever...)
I dislike backseat parenting. My mom won't come right out and say things but she alludes to things. It's like passive aggressive undermining. Also annoying, but she doesn't do it often, thankfully.
