Bike Part 2

I bought a bike. Well, Jess bought me a bike as an early birthday gift. I'm NOT a cheap date, but had no problem giving up a brand new lower end bike for a slightly used higher end model. Congrats on getting your trusty steed!!!

If you don't have front & rear lights I recommend them (I ride w mine on even in daylight). Visibility is your friend!

And yeah, get a brain bucket for sure. You can always throw a stylish hat in your backpack for when you disembark ;)

A seatcover w/gel padding is a *must* for me on my bike--otherwise I get sciatica-ish pains after a week. I know you're more of a gossamer princess than I am, but I just thought I'd mention it :-)

i'll send some links your way next week. i'll be putting a Brooks B17 saddle on my commuter. how long they take to break in differs by person, one guys said they take about 5 minutes to break in. maybe it's just his ass, but they did not become legendary because they hurt.
