Weather, what the hey

It was 64 degrees out today. Tomorrow, we're supposed to get 8-12 inches of snow. ARR's school closed preemptively. (They lasted longer than the rest--the public school district and a couple of the other private schools had already tapped out before dinner.)

I'm kind of amazed by our ability to predict the weather at this point. A hundred years ago, I'm not sure anyone would have walked outside yesterday and gone, yup, definitely a blizzard tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure 100 years ago, people would have died today. Hopefully today they won't.

I'm also kind of grateful for the heat yesterday--I'd bet that if yesterday hadn't warmed the ground, we would have woken up to at least 3 or 4 more inches of snow than we did.
