ok ok so last night was pretty good even though my old body was sayin "nooo please go home and lie down" and my ears were sayin "you know im gonna be ringin for the next week coz of this" anyway my point of this journal entry is to bring up the discussion of moshing!! again...not coz of the little interaction between stu and ian but...here it comes

i totally agree jet... i was thinking the exact same thing last night about kids not Violently Dancing to the new prom queen songs.

you know what defeated my mind? kids don't go home... read the lyrics, and think "hey, you know what... he's fucking right!" and go to the next show and mosh out of heartfelt agreement.
they go home... get out their stop watch, write down the mosh part times... and work out a sweet routine.

then they go to a show with a bandana on and wait patiently for their moment.

for sure bro more mosh is rad but when bands like tce play who only have a couple of break downs you find that most of the set these kids just kick back and wait...then the energy gets lost....itl be good to have you back bro

hey dude, after being a long time livejournal lurker, this is the first thread I've felt compelled to voice an opinion in. Moshing or dancing or whatever you want to call it should be about individual expression. It's sort of like a way for an audience member to express themselves and be a part of the show the only way they know how. Because hardcore is such an extreme and different form of music it's kind of like any reaction to it or any attempt to get 'into it' is going to be fuelled by your reaction to how crazy this music is and how it makes you feel. Whether your violent or just plain unco like me, moshing shouldn't have anything to do with worrying about who's watching or making sure you get seen, it should be about your reaction to the music and how it makes you feel. It sucks that some dudes and girls think they need to do stuff like that to get respected but I guess people who feel that insecure will fade away eventually anyway. I just hope kids go to shows with the main purpose of having fun and supporting the bands that
