Pension questions
Two quick questions about pension refunds. I have already received my notice from the government that my money will be coming to my bank account, but is pension money taxable under US law? If so, I just want to know so I can put the proper percentage aside

As for the second question, in my case, I originally designated another JET ALT to be my tax representative, but it turned out that he wasn't going to be staying long enough to do the whole process. Meaning I had to change the designation to one of the OLs in the city hall BOE. Unfortunately, we couldn't do it through email or whatnot... they needed my inkan to do the transfer, meaning I stopped by there when I went visiting. I got a friend to ask at the BOE because her husband works with city hall, and that's what she told me.
