I haven't really spoken to any doctor about migraines since I was in high school. I didn't have health insurance back home, though, and I never really thought about getting them checked out here
( ... )
my health insurance back home would sometimes cover the meds, and sometimes not...and they are expensive. Large amounts of caffeine have never hurt, only healed--same with red grapes and red wine. But, for others, I know those are huge triggers.
I forgot to mention that I am used to migraines in front, and in back--these are in the side. Any change is........ick! Scary.
The migraines did start with the last typhoon--and yes, the weather is so weird now, and my allergies are bonkers as well.
Caffeine is a key to stopping my migraines, personally. I know it's different for everyone. It used to be that the only thing that worked for me was barbiturates. But now the over-the-counter Excedrin migraine pills that I buy in bulk in the U.S. are "enough" to get me through a migraine along with a day of bed rest (I get auras/vomiting/hallucinations too)
I never pinpointed what caused my migraines, and they've become a lot less common. Weirdly, when mine stopped occurring my husband started getting them. He never throws up, but he gets auras. His migraines tend to be triggered by dehydration and overly strenuous activity.
You could have possibly developed a new food sensitivity or have some kind of hormonal imbalance? I'd get some blood work done to try and narrow it down.
