What surprised me most about the election was the back of B section in the Toronto Star.

For those of us who didn't get the paper, what was that?

You know how in the 2004 elections we had the student polling to see how students would vote? And you know how I think every single "riding" went Liberal or NDP mainly or Green maybe, ie NOT Conservative? They did the same thing this time, maybe with a younger age group, not sure, but I think it's something like half or more went Conservative.

It just surprised me cause A) They aren't great for students, and B) I thought that the younger generations were becoming more and more liberal minded overall.

No, suprisingly large numbers of young people are becoming more conservative. It's being passed down more strongly these days, or so I see, at least.

And students don't realize how bad it is...they don't really think about the policies to a great extent...well, most of them.
