Things for grabs:

1.  There are over 60 cookbooks up for grabs, including Rachael Rae, Emeril, Julia Childs, kids cookbooks, specialty cookbooks and tons more.  MInd you, I'm keeping my favorite 2 dozen - these are the REST.  I don't use them, I don't have room.  If you have little kids, let me know, I have a few great kid books.

I think somebody ( Read more... )

Of COURSE we're interested in the kids' cookbooks. :)

I'm sure I can also take some office supplies and other random stuff off your hands, including a bunch of kitchen stuff. I'll just bring my big 'ol van and go shopping. Will get back to you on when once I've figured out my own schedule, but maybe even this week.

Oh, and I am probably interested in patio furniture as well. We have a mad excess of patio furniture needs (2 brick patios, deck, pool, and we have crap all to put on any of them).

Huh. Sounds like I may need to visit more than once, even with the van. :) Shucks, what a shame! More Jetshade time! Twist my arm, will you?

Ok, the kids cookbooks and the patio furniture are claimed, and whatever kitchen stuff you want to grab.
Nuts, isn't this?

Any Julia Child that Tamar already has or I don't already have?

Also, if there are multiple FTP Software mugs, could I have one? Mine went missing.

Am coming up briefly this weekend - are you around Saturday afternoon?

Is there a chance, RB, of arranging your and the kiddo's sked so that she can drop by Jet's with you? I was just about to suggest that I bring her up to gank surplus office supplies.

Also: Jet, this electric sandwich maker thingie - is that a panini press? How big, and does it have the removable plates for cleaning? And how big, storage space wise, is the pasta maker?

However, I have been expressly forbidden, in terms that allow no question of joking, to bring more mugs home. X-P

Saturday afternoon I'd have the kiddo with me in any case. Send her with a list of the office supplies you want!

I'm herewith making a plea for everyone here to just take this stuff away, even if you don't want it all, so Jet doesn't have to herself, since she physically can't. Then you can give what you don't want away to other friends, or to Goodwill. But the point being, just please help Jet clear her house of whatever she can't take with her so she doesn't have to just abandon it in a dumpster. If we all take away a bit more than we ourselves can actually use, and then be responsible for getting the excess donated to friends or strangers, it will be an IMMENSE help to Jet. She can't afford to pay movers or 1-800-Got Junk.

Hey Jet's friends: take it even if YOU don't need it! roaming April 7 2009, 17:32:16 UTC
Since I know she won't, I'm herewith making a plea for everyone who reads this who knows Jet to just take this stuff away, even if you don't want it all, so Jet doesn't have to herself, since she simply physically can't. It's too big a job for one person, so if we all pitch in and take piles in increments, eventually she'll be left with only what she's taking to move with, or trash stuff to dump out.

We can give what we don't want/can't use away to other friends, or to Goodwill. Just please help Jet clear her house of whatever she can't take with her so she doesn't have to just abandon it in a dumpster or, worse, for the landlord to have to deal with after she's out (end of May). If we all take away a bit more than we ourselves can actually use, and then be responsible for getting the excess donated to friends or strangers, it will be an IMMENSE help to Jet. She can't afford to pay movers or 1-800-Got Junk.

Jetshade doesn't know me from Joe, but I am in need a punchbowl. Tall plastic storage shelves are ALWAYS handy. Hopefully they're collapsible, otherwise they won't fit in the car. And we have a very painfully bare patio, so if there's any of the patio furniture that hasn't been claimed, I would be delighted to take it, assuming it'll fit in the car. :) And office supplies... Who can't use more office supplies? hee!

That's okay, you know me, so it's the next best thing.

She's making a list of who asked for what when, who's got dibs. No doubt all will become clear in the fulness of time. Will get back to you. And then we'll figure out how to get stuff to you from Natick. We've got an SUV and can shuttle some things from her place to others who can't make it out there themselves.

I don't have a job, so I'd be happy to go over and help just about anytime. Hopefully with you along, so I don't show up and go, "Um, Hi. I'm here to take your stuff." :) So let me know when's convenient for you both/all!

Hi,

I live in Natick, MA, right off of Rt. 135 in West Natick by the West Natick Commuter Rail station.
Are you friends with roaming? She can give you directions and direct contact info, or let me know how best to contact you for such and what kinds of things you might be interested in so I can make sure I have what you might be looking for.

Thanks!

If you can't remember who is taking the pasta maker, vyseryn and I want it badly.
