So, August is here. How the fuck did that happen already?
I just can't believe how fast time has gone by, I feel like I blinked, and this year past me by. I feel like for everything I've accomplished, I somehow missed some grand point. The soundtracks of our lives
I pulled into the parking lot this morning and stepped out of my truck. I was astounded by how unbelievably gorgeous the weather was. Now that we have to park a couple blocks from the building in a dirt lot, days like today are a blessing and make for an enjoyable walk down the road to get into the office. I stopped writing in my live journal for a while, in favor of my own personal journal. There's something about physically putting words onto paper that seems so much more therapeutic. I went out to the bar tonight with some good old friends. Joe, Renee, Michelle, Helen, Alex, Scott, Travis, Liz, Zack, Ricky and Little Matt. We went down to PB for Scott's birthday, which was interesting if for nothing other than the fact that I hadn't been out in PB in ages. There is a cool, constant breeze of conditioned air blowing from the vents. The room is still, and quiet - the only noise, aside from the subtle humming of a machine hidden out of sight, comes from the quiet shuffling of papers, the click-clack of typing on a keyboard, and the occasional whisper of conversation. It's interesting how drawn to live journal I am when there is a lot on my mind, and no one to share it with. But what is more interesting is the long period of silence prior to a couple of weeks ago. The truth of the matter is, much of what I was thinking wasn't written down, anywhere, or communicated, to anyone. I'm inclined to think this approach ( Read more... ) -
I'm no artist
I made this in brushes on my iphone. I'm relatively proud of it....it's actually an idea that I had at work today, and it mostly came to fruition.
